Gem Apartments - FAQ

1. How do I book

Online: You can book online using Mastercard or Visa and pay the full amount upfront.
Offline: You can book over the phone using Mastercard, Visa or Amex and pay a deposit of 30%, or the full amount upfront. The balance is due fourteen days before your stay.
Direct Deposit: If you wish to pay via direct deposit, please request a quote and we will email all the details to you.

2. Where do I pick up the keys

Freshwater Place - Between the hours of 2pm - 6pm you will be met at the apartment, given the keys and orientated to the building and area. After 6pm you will be required to pick up the keys from 83 Whiteman St, Southbank. This address is 5 minutes from Freshwater Place and on the way from the airport.

Vue Grande & The Centurian - You will be met at 83 Whiteman St, given the keys and orientated to your building and area.

3. What are your check in and check out times?

Our guaranteed times are check in 2pm, and check out 10am. We are flexible with these times when we can be, so please ask if you require a different time.

We also guarantee you can drop your luggage 10.30am on your arrival day and return once the apartment has been prepared.

4. What if my flight is arriving in the middle of the night?

Please contact us to discuss the check in options available.

5. Can you store our luggage?

We can store luggage at 83 Whiteman St, subject to availability - please remember to ask when you are booking.

Alternatively, there are luggage lockers at Southern Cross Train Station which is a seven minute walk from the apartment.

6. How are your apartments different to a hotel or apartment hotel building?

• Our apartments are larger and more comfortable than a hotel and less expensive. They also have complimentary tea and coffee facilities, bathroom amenities, full laundry facilities and cleaning products.
• Our tariff includes 'hotel extras' such as internet, car parking.
• The apartment / view pictured is the actual apartment that you are booking.
• We do not have room service, and our tariff does not include daily or weekly servicing.
• Check in is by arrangement - we do not have permanent staff at reception to check guests in.

7. You have a minimum stay of five nights but we only want to stay for two nights

We take 1 - 4 night bookings if there is a gap between other bookings, or you are booking at the last minute. Please make sure you change the number of nights required on the booking button from 5 to your required amount of nights to check availability for your dates. Alternatively, email or phone us to check availability.

"Perfect accommodation for two people. Main bedroom is extremely generous in size with comfortable king size bed. Second bedroom is very small. (Freshwater Place) Apartment is exquisitely furnished and spotlessly clean. Everything needed and more is supplied. Location and views from 12th floor excellent. Car park to this property (Freshwater Place) is not user friendly and you have to go up too many levels that wind to reach 9th floor. Would definitely stay again"
